“THE STORY OF WOMEN’S STRUGGLE FOR EQUALITY BELONGS TO NO SINGLE FEMINIST NOR TO ANY ONE ORGANISATION BUT TO THE COLLECTIVE EFFORTS OF ALL WHO CARE ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS.” – Glora Steinman
March 8 marks International Women’s Day (IWD), a major event to celebrate the achievements and successes of women worldwide while simultaneously fighting for gender equality. For over 100 years men and women have gathered together on this day with aim of achieving full gender equality.
At MIXER we have a fine mix of minds, men and women in a variety of companies. Women make up some of our CEO’s, coders, designers and more.
Worldwide agencies on this day promote participation of women as equal partners with men. Over decades we have seen women growing in various sectors such as social, political, and economic. Although we see much progress in first world countries there is still an imbalance in treatment and salary. This is why men and women alike have chosen this day to band together and empower themselves, their colleagues, and women all over the globe.
This week we have chosen to empower our female MIXERS with an inspirational talk from one of our own, Saleet Granit. Saleet is CEO of Adkit, a global research company. She shared with us her own experiences as a woman in the workforce and her rise to CEO.
Thank you to Saleet for sharing your experiences with us. Thank you to all MIXERS who participated and for those who raise their voice every day in solidarity with gender equality.
